EndoMune Advanced Probiotic has reached a new distribution deal to have the company's products stocked at select H-E-B stores in San Antonio, Austin and Houston.

EndoMune markets a proprietary blend of beneficial bacteria. The adult version of the product contains 10 strains of bacteria with 20 billion colony-forming units. The children's version, EndoMune Junior, has four strains of bacteria with 10 billion colony-forming units.

With the distribution deal with H-E-B in place, EndoMune's products now can be purchased at more than more than 120 independent pharmacies and nutritional health stores in Texas, Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada and Mexico.

The product is designed to help consumers address issues with digestion.

"San Antonio's biomedical sector has a strong track record of commercializing innovative products to improve human health and well being, and EndoMune is a case in point," said Ann Stevens, president of BioMed SA, a nonprofit that promotes San Antonio's healthcare and bioscience sector in a news release. "The expansion of its distribution network to include additional H-E-B stores in major Texas cities provides greater access to this locally developed product."

Lawrence Hoberman, a board certified gastroenterologist, founded the company in San Antonio in 2007. He had been marketing the company's products on Inc., and several health and fitness stores.
