Invictus Medical Leadership Team Appointed

Invictus Medical, the San Antonio, Texas-based medical device company dedicated to providing newborns with healthy developmental milestones, is proud to announce that Chris Gilmer and Russell Rayburn have joined their leadership team.

Chris Gilmer, Invictus Medical Chief Operating Officer (COO), comes to Invictus Medical as an expert in business management with over 30 years of professional experience. Gilmer previously worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies including Roche Diagnostics, Unisys Corp, and General Motors. He improved each organization's infrastructure, playing a significant role in everything from enhancing IT systems to developing business plans for $3.2 billion manufacturing operations. Gilmer is also the former General Manager of Disetronic Insulin Pump Systems, where he was responsible for coordinating sales and marketing operations, as well as quality regulation and customer service. "It's wonderful to join a company where all of my past experiences can be utilized," says Gilmer. "Not to mention how nice it is to have the opportunity to use those past experiences to drastically improve the lives of others."

Russ Rayburn, Invictus Medical Vice President of Sales, joins Invictus Medical with over 25 years of executive marketing and sales leadership experience in the medical device and healthcare industries. Previously, Rayburn held key management roles including Director of Hospital Marketing and Director of Sales at Roche Diagnostics. As Director of Hospital Marketing, Rayburn was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans for a medical device representing $250M in revenue within the US hospital market. "I am excited to join such an experienced staff," says Rayburn. "It is a special feeling when you are providing a unique product that will have such a positive impact on the lives of premature infants."

Gilmer and Rayburn round out an experienced Invictus Medical staff. Tom Roberts, Invictus Medical President and CEO, has over 25 years of leadership experience in both the healthcare and medical device markets. During his career, he was responsible for successfully commercializing numerous medical device products both domestically and internationally. Gilmer and Rayburn also join Eric Eisbrenner, Chief Financial Officer at Invictus Medical and cofounder of another successful medical device startup that has earned approximately $80 million in revenue, and Daniel Mendez, Chief Technology Officer and founder of Invictus Medical. The prototype that Mendez based the first Invictus Medical product on was awarded Top Honors at the InnoTech Beta Summit in 2011.

Invictus Medical is a San Antonio, Texas-based medical device company that aims to ensure that children are able to attain their developmental milestones. As evidenced by their award-winning innovations, Invictus Medical has been at the forefront of pediatric care since its founding in 2012. Invictus Medical is a privately held company.
