INCELL CEO Speaks On Challenges To Research And Manufacturing Cell Therapies At Texas Capitol Stem Cell Event
October 15, 2012

San Antonio, Oct. 15, 2012 - Dr. Mary Pat Moyer, Founder, CEO and Chief Science Officer of San Antonio-based INCELL Corporation, will address the manufacturing and product development challenges for cell therapy products at the 3rd Annual Stem Cell Research Symposium at the Texas State Capitol on October 19th 2012. Moyer will focus on how important it is to make and store quality cell products that meet rules for FDA compliance, and how to interface laboratory and clinical research to accelerate bringing products to patients awaiting new treatments.

"Texas should be a leader in accelerating safe and effective cell therapy research and its clinical applications to regenerative medicine that assists the body in repairing itself," said Moyer. "More than 1.2 million people in Texas are suffering from a chronic disease or life altering illnesses where new cell therapies can be made in Texas to improve quality of life and bring the hope of potential cures, but the products must be safe, meet state and federal quality standards, and follow ethical guidelines for assessing their effectiveness and use."

INCELL and other Texas companies are working with private physician groups, hospitals, military clinicians and scientists, and academic investigators to provide services or products useful for cell therapies. INCELL currently has targeted collaborations toward clinical studies in orthopedics, arthritis, soft tissue repair, wound healing, neural disorders, and cancer.

INCELL Corporation LLC is a privately held life sciences company that was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in San Antonio. Its regenerative medicine business includes manufacturing and developing new tools and cell therapies for tissue repair, wound healing, orthopedics, cancer, neurological and other diseases. INCELL both manufactures its own products and provides contract R&D and manufacturing services to other companies developing cell therapy products.
